The prospect and probability of something great happening to you should always be in your forethoughts. It means developing a positive perspective about the future, especially about your business career. However, managing those expectations for a desired outcome can be a bit daunting. Unless you set a plan in place to manage your expectations, finding success in your career will slip through your fingers like water.
A strong belief that something positive will happen in your future with an expectation of greatness can come about, but it starts with controlling events in the present. It means taking action in the present-day toward that future event or desired result. It is having a belief in yourself to achieve positive results for a desired outcome and setting forth a manageable plan.
What a concept to contemplate for yourself. YOU have great expectations of accomplishing something in the next 12 months, but certain things need to take place before your desired expectation will come about. So how will YOU manage the process of achieving your expectations? How do YOU put no limits on yourself, when fear and insecurity build parameters around your thoughts?
It starts first in having a belief that anything is possible with God. If we believe the words that Christ said, “If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.” (Luke 14:14). Having a belief and faith in God that your expectations can become a reality establishes yourself on the pathway to manage them. If your expectations are God centered and established in prayer then your first step has already begun.
Now with a pen in hand start writing out a five-point plan on how you would accomplish your expectation. Remember the expectation is the desired end goal. Writing out a five-point plan is how you will get there. It is how you will manage your expectations. Perhaps you say to yourself, “Oh that will never happen.” Coming against that thought should be your first written point – “Yes, I will make this so and so thing to happen.” Whatever it is that you want to accomplish in the next year must first start with the belief it can happen. Then put it down on paper. If there are objections, fear, insecurity or negative thoughts YOU must first release them by writing against them.
I never thought I could write a book, but today I have written two books. It first started with the belief that my expectation was from God and that I could accomplish anything with His help. I prayed about it and sought His input on what I wanted to write about. I next started laying out an outline on what I wanted to say in my books. I came against my negative thoughts by putting in place a positive written plan to manage the process.
In other words, I put a plan in place to manage my expectations, and you can do the same!!! Go for it!! The next 12 months is filled with great expectations that God wants to accomplish in you!!! Empower yourself with developing the ability to manage your expectations!!!
