passion

Finding your passion in business or life can sometimes leave you with a blank stare with even more questions. But determining what is it that excites you and gets you up in the morning is easier to find than you might think. The real question is, are you willing to make small changes in your life to find the things that you are passionate about? Or, will you settle for the easy path and just give into the routine of the day for a mediocre life. You were made for more, more of everything – but most of all, more significance and passion in what you are earning and doing in the workplace and finding happiness in your home.
So many times a woman will base her decision on what a guy thinks is best for her, rather than finding her own path and journey to take. Let’s forget the guy thing right now and just focus on you. What is it that you really want out of life? In God’s plan you were made for a purpose and there is a path to take, but finding that path will take some effort. Not much effort, but a little of your time with a piece of paper and a pen. I like to share with women how I discovered my passion, because I was already doing it; but I did not realize it was my passion at the time.
Finding Your Passion

Years ago I had been invited to a program, called The Master’s Program for Women. It is a fabulous opportunity for women to find their passion and what they were made for, as we were all created to have significance and an irresistible lifestyle. For me, it was an exercise in one of their sessions that help me clarify my passion and find out what I was made for in God’s plan.
In one of the very first sessions of The Master’s Program, they had us write out our dreams and desires. In other words, if time, money, education and family were not an issue what would you like to be doing with your life? Is it possible for you to write out 30 dreams you have had in your life? I am sure deep down you have some dreams in your heart that have never been verbalized or written down. Why not take some time right now and write out all your dreams and goals? What is it you would like to achieve with your life? What is it you dream about and would love to accomplish with your life? Are you able to find your passion in those dreams? Maybe you dream of being an attorney, nurse, teacher, sales professional, a novelist, rock star, artist or a stay at home mom? What is it that excites you? Traveling around the world, live in an exotic place or walk on the beach everyday? Write it out and do not let anything hold you back.
Finding your passion can be anything, because in this exercise there are no limits. Mine is motivating women to a better place with God. I am passionate about God, but did not know how to apply that passion towards others. Then I learned I love helping women to find their calling and in the process raising their awareness to have integrity at work and in the home. More like being the salt and light in the workplace. I can get more into this another time, because right now we are working on you.
Your dreams are real. There I said it, but can you comprehend that many of your dreams can become a reality? Your dreams have been planted in your heart for a reason, but somewhere along the way you lost hope and maybe you even gave them up. It’s never too late to start fresh and give it another try. I once wrote down on paper, as one of my dreams and goals for myself was to write a book. This is something I thought I would never have the time to do, but I wrote it out and looked at it regularly. Guess what, less than eight years later, I have written two books!!! Maybe they won’t be bestsellers, but I lived my dream and saw my words and thoughts in print. It’s pretty cool. Another dream I had was to sell a million dollars in revenue for my insurance career. Within a few short years of writing this out, I not only made that goal I surpassed it with flying colors.
You can do the same, whatever it is that excites you. Write out those 30 dreams and goals and look at them daily. There is something that changes our perspective when we see our desires in print. I also wanted to be a conference speaker to inspire and motivate women. Guess what, that happened too!!
